I had a pattern in 8ply that I had already made so I knew the measurements were okay and based on that looked at the pattern in 4ply to determine how many stitches I needed to make the same size in the larger wool.
I still did the lengths that I needed instead of the ones stated for the smaller size.
It turns out that for this pattern the 3 months size is the best choice for number of stitches with the exception being the lengths as stated before.
        Hope this helps you.
        Best regards
