A really easy little pattern. Worth writing down the rows and stitch numbers for the shaping at the top, as you complete the first number of increases before working the third button hole. Pattern suggests three balls of wool for the first size, however took less than two. I didn’t have a correct size circular needle to hand , however found Stitches fitted fine on regular length straight needles. Used John Lewis Baby Merino 100% Wool Machine washable wool cycle.
Enough wool left over for bootees. Pattern used - Kelan Chunky Baby Shoes by Julie Taylor . Available on site . Very easy . This wool being woolly and therefore not too soft, I find gives better structure and definition to the bootees, than when made in very soft yarns .
