    About

    This is a rug for Bethany's bedroom for her Birthday. I started with the Mandala style island rug pattern then kept adding rows until it was big enough.

    Yarns

    • material-yarn
      Stash DK acrylic - Purple ✕ 2.0 balls
    • material-yarn
      Luxury Aran Yarn - Raspberry ✕ 2.0 balls
    • material-yarn
      Chevy with wool double knit - Pink (Shade 4355) ✕ 4.0 balls

    Needles & Hooks

    • Crochet Hook 15.00mm (US 19)

    Accessories

    • Tapestry Needle
    Other : Scissors.

    Measurements

    Notes: I added rows until it measured 4 feet across. Rows with dk wool used four strands held together, rows with aran wool used three strands held together to create a nice thick bulky rug.

      Hi did you do this in double knit or aran and how many strands did you use

        For rows with dk (pink and purple) I used four strands, for the aran wool (raspberry) I used three. That worked out about equal, more or less. Basically use whatever works. :)

        It's very satisfying because it grows so quickly with the huge hook and multiple strands. Plus it's great to snuggle under as you are making it!
