Birthday present for mum!

    About

    Mum loved my blue heavenly jumper so I decided to surprise her with one of her own. She choose the colour but I didn't tell her what it was for. She will be a very young 91 in a few weeks.

    Her birthday was this week and here she is wearing the jumper. A little long in the sleeves but otherwise a good fit which I am very happy with as I live in France (Mum in UK) and I was estimating her size.

        I'd never done a top down knit before but it wasn't difficult once I got the hang of short rows. Actually by the time I got to the body i.e. After separating the sleeves it was rather boring just round after round of knit! The sleeves were a bit tricky only because at first I used metal dp needles which were too heavy for such a light yarn. Changing to wooden helped.
