    About

I saw this on Dominique C's page and loved it so decided to make one for myself.
Half of me enjoyed knitting this and the other half found it very annoying!
-beautiful colours so fun to watch it develop
-big needles and large gauge wool so it knits up quite quickly, also an easy pattern
-the floppy wool and gigantic needles are clumsy and annoying to work with

This pattern can be found here:

    Needles & Hooks

    • Single Point 10.00mm (US 15) 35cm

    Measurements

    Notes: three notes:
    1. the shawl is quite big
    2. the Ravelry pattern says it takes 3 balls of wool but Dominique C noted 4 balls. It really does take a little more than 3 balls. I didn't read this properly and ordered only 3 but had to stop increasing at 65 stitches instead of 70 (see pattern).
    3. the wool is absolutely beautiful but I have to say I expected something quite different when I saw it online. To get a better idea of what the whole hank looks like, google image the yarn and colour number just to be sure you get what you expect and want.

This is a beautiful wrap, I got this yarn the other day and couldn't get it to unwind. It was so difficult to try and start my project got frustrated and am returning it. I am a beginning knitter so maybe it was me???? The colors were so pretty, really wanted to love this yarn. Sadly it wasn't for me.

Don't give up, Patti M! Me too, the wool-winding frsutrated me at the beginning. Maybe start with projects made with prewound wool. You can usually tell by the photo. Or 'google-image' the yarn and you can see if it comes in skeins or balls. To be honest , this project was awkward knitting anyways - the needles are huge.
        Happy knitting :)

@Karli: Hi Karli, You do beautiful work, love your projects. I gave up on the Bamboozle yarn and am still working on a thick blanket. I am now addicted to all the beautiful and different yarns. I can shop on this site for hours at a time. The weather here is very cold and it may snow tomorrow. Knitting keeps me warm. I like working with thick yarn and big needles, the project goes so much quicker. Have a great week......

@Patti M: Thanks! Cold here too :) I also like the thick wool, fun to make some quick knits.

This is so pretty and spring-like (and we need more Spring!) I saw this yarn and really wondered how it would work up - so thanks so much for the great photo. (Thanks also for the tip about checking out the colours on google before purchasing - that really helped me) : )

Thanks Joanne P! And I agree, Spring would be very welcome about now. In the meantime, let's knit ferociously to keep warm! haha BTW, this wool is nice against the skin - the wool and bamboo are a good combo. K :)
