    About

I have been making up my own sweaters for a while now. I love Guernsey's and wanted to use an old fisherman's pattern. I was inspired by Gladys Thompson's book Patterns for Guernseys, Jerseys & Arans. I took a Staites Pattern and adapted it to a boy's size. I put in a rolled collar because it just seemed to work well. I love the detail on the upper sleeves! I also thought it was fun incorporating an under the arm gusset - it gives a little extra room to move around in. I was really pleased with this sweater!
