    About

I wanted to try out some self striping Fair Isle sock yarn I had bought. This pattern only takes 1 ball of yarn, so works out a well priced garment. The pattern is a basic intarsia pattern where you insert your own design into the front of the jumper, but I just used the basic stocking stitch pattern as I already had striping from the yarn.

Gorgeous, love the colours. If you match it up as you have done it appears to be fair isle. I love self striping yarn for this effect. I have made lots of hats and baby booties out of it. I like Crofter yarn for knits in DK.

Miles will look gorgeous in this Lyn. I love fine knits, that take longer but they look nice.

After having knitted scarves in 2 ply, it really doesn’t seem too bad, plus very easy pattern that doesn’t need any concentration. I must say I love the 10 & 12 ply I have knitted for the girls, barely on the needles and it’s finished. I received the Bendigo colour chart for their new 8 ply Imperial which is a combo of Wool, Alpaca and Silk. Some lovely colours!
