    About

    Made for my friend's VERY BIG CAT ! He measures 24" across when curled up, asleep..... So I needed a LARGE pattern to base it on. He also likes to creep under the covers so I'm adding the cave top for him. Working with 2 strands Paintbox Chunky and a 8mm hook gave a better, denser fabric than suggested in the pattern.
    I added surface DC's & SC's to give definition & added shape to the finished article.
    I also left a section open when joining the 2 base circles so that the inner duvet lining can be washed separately. 3 buttons were used to fasten the gap.

    Measurements

    Notes: Finished size; 27" diameter
    M was too small but L too big so I worked as the pattern to 9th round and measured at this point; then continued as set to measurement required.
    I added the cave top by working the top circle in reverse...working 2Tr together over 2 stitches instead of 2Tr in one stitch and allowing a gap on the previous rows.
