      I placed mine so that they were in line with the midpoint of the ears and also in a line which sort of continued up from the trunk. My first attempt had them a bit further apart which didn’t look right so I redid them which you can do if you sew them rather than use safety eyes. I always place pins in where I think they should go first which gives some idea of how they will look. Hope this helps.
