    About

My aunt found this gorgeous yarn on sale while on holiday in Germany and bought some for my mum to crochet a cardi for my little girl. But we couldn't find a crochet pattern we liked for a yarn this weight so she passed it on to me to knit with instead: lucky me!

The amazing parrot buttons came from a market in Sardinia on holiday... wish I'd bought loads more!

The pattern is for single point needles but I knitted it flat on circulars because I only had really short single points to hand in the correct size, and I find circulars handy when travelling with a WIP as stitches are less prone to slipping off. I used needles a size up from the pattern as the yarn is slightly less chunky than the one the pattern is written for. I probably should still have chosen the next pattern size up: it's a snug fit!
