I had three attempts at Christmas socks for #2 child. The first I abandoned because the yarn was too inelastic, and because the complicated colour work had taken so long I changed pattern as well as yarn and went for a one-colour project. That was a toe-up design and was too large early on, so I tried this instead. By the time I got to the heel, I could see that this would also be too big, but by now it was the week before Christmas. I asked my daughter what she wanted me to do, and she said to finish something by the big day, even if it was too big. I completed the first of the pair on Christmas Eve and she loved the colour. Now that she has them both, she says she's going to wear them in bed and around the house. The yarn was a bit tricky as it was quite fluffy, and it kept tangling together then tying itself up with loose fluff. Patterns for shoe size 1 seem hard to come by. Any pattern recommendations would be gratefully received!
