    About

I was recently given some knitting that was in a bit of a mess....lovely stylecraft aran yarn. After frogging it I had 250gms . What to do with it? I also had 260 gms of donated cream aran ( no name ) and liked the colour combination . There are a lot of patterns available for corner 2 corner blankets , this is my take on them.
I divided each ball of yarn into halves, making sure that the yarn ball to be used at the halfway point was still connected and then started knitting with the smallest amount. I arranged the balls of yarn so that they were equal amounts on each side of the blanket as I was only going to use these 2 colours in blocks. I use a similar technique for all my c2c work where possible. WIP .. in between my other projects, now on the decrease , 1/2 way ! Finally finished...... plus pom-poms with the small amount of yarn left.

    Measurements

Notes: The size of these blanket/throws usually depend on the amount of yarn I have available but you can always stop at a given halfway point to suit the measurement required. This one turned out to be 36” x 36”
I usually make these as squares but they can be made rectangular with a little more thought.
