    About

I love to knit for my friends and family. It shows that I care for them and think about them when we are not together. I also love to knit WITH friends and family. These are some of the many reasons #WhyIKnit!
Sophie is a yoga-Queen so it's fun to make yoga-friendly items for her - ponchos, mitts, light hats. This Debbie Bliss wool is DIVINE for this project - a lovely subtle mintie colour and very squishy and smooth - great for hands and the the garter wrists are soft but also elastic snug. :)

    Pattern

    Cable Embrace

    This pattern is from:
    Drops

    Yarns

    Needles & Hooks

    • Single Point 6.00mm (US 10) 20cm

    Accessories

    • Tapestry Needle
    • Cable Needle
Other : crochet hook and piece of scrap wool if doing provisional cast-on.

    Measurements

Notes: Followed pattern but adjusted to this slightly less chunky wool. 39 stitches, 18cm (~7-1/4") long. I used a provisional cast-on to make the seam tidy but I am sure a sewed seam would work just as well.
Very satisfying, I used all but ~2m of each ball of wool :)

        Hi Mickey T,

It's a GREAT pattern, easy but also fun with the cable on the end. You can find it on the Drops site (Garn Studio). It's called 'Cable Embrace'. The original pattern calls for a very chunky wool, if you are a beginner maybe try that gauge to begin with and then if you like the pattern and want to make more you can be more adventurous with the gauge. If you use dainty wool you get delicate little mitts! Let me know if you have further questions or have trouble finding the pattern. Good luck, enjoy, Karli :)
