    About

Sometimes my button stash inspires a project. I found these 2 leather buttons. So it was going to be a boy's sweater. There were only 2 buttons, so it was going to be a pullover. I had white and blue left over from other projects, so this sweater designed itself. It is my own pattern, top down seamless. I used Knitpicks Swish DK in the colors Camel Heather (5 balls), Delft Heather and White. It is connected in the round just below the button placket, but then I broke the white yarn and reconnected behind the left shoulder so that the fair isle would not look wonky right at the center front.

Very nice! I love using stash to produce something unexpected.

Thank you. I'm afflicted with chronic frugality and am compelled to use everything up.

@Marie P: This comment confuses me. Are you saying that you already have an exclusive pattern for this pullover on Craftsy? What is the name of your pattern?

@Christine L: Marie P. is AKA Antique Sled Couture, who has been loading up the "Knitting Only" community page with her crochet designs by falsely tagging them as both crochet and knitting. She is using the community page to advertise her patterns available on Craftsy. Hello Loveknitting people. Is it OK for somebody to advertise about patterns on Craftsy as a comment about somebody else's project? Loveknitting people, I hope you are reading all of this. Please delete all of it. Thank you.

@Christine L: Hi Christine, I agree with you. I have just submitted a request to LoveKnitting.com to have these crochet postings removed.

I enjoy looking at knitting projects by other knitters on the LoveKnitting.com website. They give me inspiration for my own projects. I don't think crochet projects belong here.

@Prairie Blossom: THe community page offers the choice to filter what you view. You can select knitting, crochet or all crafts. I'm sure you know this. I just personally don't like the appearance of crochet and would like to filter it out. So the solution is for Sled to go back into her projects and deselect knitting as a tag. But what she has done with her comment above amounts to advertising her stuff on one of my projects, and this is beyond outrageous. I also contacted Loveknitting, and their response was that they do not regulate the community page. It's a relief to see that I am not the only one who is exasperated with this dishonest woman.

@Christine L: Hi Christine, This experience with Antique Sled Couture has left such a bad taste in my mouth that I will be deactivating my account with LoveKnitting.com. I don't believe that a company that does not regulate it's own website deserves my business. There are so many other places to purchase yarn. Thank you for your contributions to the Community.

@Christine L: So sad that Christine AKA Christine needs to attack me and many many designers including the designers at The Loopy Mango. She contacted me asking about my exclusive projects/patterns. I directed her to Craftsy for further info.

@Marie P: Please stop making inaccurate remarks as a comment on one of my projects. I have not attacked you. I have objected to your designation of your crochet projects as both knitting and crochet. Loopy Mango is a company, and I objected to their use of the community page for advertising. I Googled them and apparently they have a retail outlet and a brand of yarn. I have not attacked "many many designers." I have objected to you in your alternate persona of Antique Sled Couture, and I have objected to Loopy Mango. Two is not "many many." I never contacted you about your patterns. I do not crochet, and have no interest in crochet. I have no interest in Craftsy, whatever that is. Your designs are tasteful and attractive, but they are not both crochet and knitting. They are crochet.
