I have started a Knit-a-long in my Ravelry group (Kari-Helene Rane Designs) and as it is my very first knit a long and I'm feeling a bit nervous about it we are keeping it informal and calling it #chelseanonkal
I quite like this pattern, but would love to make it a bit longer in back. Is this easily possible? (I'm a pretty intermediate knitter...cables, a bit of lace, etc.) Also...what is the yarn you are using in the above photo? I love the texture and darker color. Thanks!
Hi Dana, sorry for taking so long to get back to you! It isn't straight forward to make this one longer in the back , I'm afraid as the fronts are knitted vertically whilst the back is knitted horizontally. You would have to increase sts along the lower edge of the fronts and add corresponding rows to the back. It is possible, but would require a little bit of maths! The yarn is Tynn from Norwegian company Du Store Alpakka and it is held double.
@Kari-Helene Rane: Thanks so much for taking the time to answer my question. That does help! I can see now how it could be done, so I'll just have to take that under consideration.
