    About

My daughter has been staying with some friends for the past 2 years. I thought that these potholders would be a great Christmas gift for them. I made a "cherry pie" and a "blueberry pie"

    Needles & Hooks

    • Crochet Hook 3.75mm (US 5)

    Measurements

    Size: 9in

Notes: To make the "crust" and the "filling" I chained 4, then worked 11 dc in 4th chain from hook and used a slip stitch to join, making the first round. In each succeeding round I increased 12 dc until there was a total of 96 stitches. One of each color.

The crust edging was created by using a shell pattern stitch. Skip one stitch, dc 5 in next dc, skip one stitch, slip stitch, repeat around the "pie" joining to the first shell with a slip stitch. Chain 13 and slip stitch to the previous slip stitch to create a loop if desired. Fasten off and weave in ends.
