    About

My Mum knitted a christening dress for my girls so thought I would carry on the tradition. Still have the original, now 34 years old, but sadly damaged in a house fire last year so thought I'd have a go at making a replacement. Quite a challenge for me as I'm not the most accomplished knitter but absolutely delighted with the result; I've now bought the pattern for 2 friends so they can do the same! Amended the sleeve edge on the dress so that it was picot to match the neckline; much better! Also altered fastening on cardigan so that there are ribbon ties on both sides; not a fan of press studs!
