Christmas gifts - Pom Pom hat

    I initially made this hat for me, it knotted up so quickly and made such a nice gift I'm now busy making one for every female friend/relative I have as Christmas presents.

    I think the addition of a fluffy Pom Pom adds to the end effect.

    For the original hat (photographed) I used Marisol Sisa wool, the next hat I made was using Rowan Lima wool which also works well. It uses almost a complete ball of wool so don't panic when it looks like you're not going to have enough to complete it, I have both times had enough to complete. My second hat was pale gray with an icy blue Pom Pom which was a colour combination which didn't disappoint. I'm now onto version 3 and 4, with different colour combos.

    Needles & Hooks

    • Single Point 6.00mm (US 10) 35cm

    Accessories

    Other : I use Rico Pom Poms because they are super soft and come in a variety of colours.

    Measurements

    Notes: I knitted it on 6mm needles to make it slightly bigger. I also added in 8 rows of moss stitch at the end of the rib before starting the decreases which I think gives it a nicer fit.

        Hi Carrie, I’m so sorry for the delay, I’ve been hunting for the pattern for the last 10 days and I’ve finally found it!!! It’s Designer Yarns DYP239 pattern. The pattern is for a hat and cowl.
