I thought it would be great to knit one of these while on holiday - not too much wool required, and something small enough to pick up and put down easily (not to mention achievable in the time!).
I soon got hooked, as they're delightful little monkeys, and have such lovely squidgy tummys (especially if you use a proper craft filling).
It's tempting to give one to all the babies that come along, but better to wait until the babies become toddlers, they're much more appreciated, and might actually get played with.

You can download the free pattern using the link on the right hand side. (or here's the link - https://www.loveknitting.com/noahs-ark-the-citrus-monkeys-in-sirdar-snuggly-baby-bamboo-dk)
I've made a few now, and to save a lot of sewing up at the end, I've started sewing as I go. Starting with the head, I sew the ears and nose on before moving down the body. Likewise the arms, they're easier to get in place if you haven't sewn up the whole body.
They're very cute monkeys, I hope you enjoy making them.
best wishes, Sue
