    About

I really like the new coloring books for grownups that have popped up everywhere lately – it’s so relaxing to color in those soothing patterns!

These books have been the inspiration for the whimsy colorwork pattern on the sleeves of this sweater, which is worked top down seamlessly in a textured slip stitch pattern. The double knit hem and cuffs are similar to those known from my “Anthro” sweater. Shoulders with accented shoulder “seams” are shaped with short rows, as are sleeve caps. The sleeves are worked in stockinette stitch with a two-color Fair-Isle pattern near the double-knit cuffs. The colorwork pattern will look at its best in a long color repeat gradient yarn with smooth color transitions, but you can use remnants in different colors, too, if you want to use up leftovers and don’t shy away from sewing in a lot of ends.
