    About

When I was at school, a long while ago, we had a singing lesson each week and our teacher had a fondness for the song, ‘Cotton Eye Jo,’ which kept playing in my head as I was choosing the yarn, James C Brett Cotton On DK, for this cowl to wear during the change of seasons. The song kept replaying as I knitted the cowl and so ‘Cotton Eye Jo’ it became.
I chose the yarn for its cool and comfortable cotton mix blended with acrylic for wearability. I liked how my knitting progress was marked by the changing colours/stitches and the knit became so addictive I knitted it in several colour ways. The pattern is easy to follow and is now available on LK.
