    About

    Amanda is a Captain of Industry in London, and therefore stylish and particular with her clothes.
    I gave her a ‘promise’ for Christmas - a scarf/shawl of her own choosing.
    Cozy Winter by Melanie Mielinger is her choice, and I’m looking forward to creating it.

      Hya can anybody help. I have followed the pattern and knit chart C 12 times but my length is only 120cms and I have one ball of wool left. I continued to increase on every other row in chart C should I not have done this?

        Hi
        I understand the instructions mean to repeat chart C a FURTHER 12 times. Meaning that you actually work chart C 13 times in total.
        Would that give you the correct size?

        @Tessa T: hi I have knit chart C 13 times it's still not long enough. I'm thinking I shouldn't increase in chart C as when you look at the chart it is straight with no increases

        @Janet A: hi Tessa
        I have followed the written instructions of Chart C, and have increased at the end of every other row on all the repeats.
        Having looked at Chart C, the diagram doesn’t seem to show any increases, but certainly on the written version it does.
        I have got 23 rows left to do, and my work is looking like a shawl (triangular), not a scarf (long and thin).
        Hope this helps

        Hi Cecily
        Repeat Chart C a further 12 times
        I wasn’t sure, but I got a friend to translate from the German instructions - I think the English version is missing a few lines of instructions.
        Good luck 🙂

        Pleased you’ve worked it out. I’m no expert - I only started knitting a couple of years ago. I’m worried about the instructions for the ending of this scarf - I-cord bind off, whatever that might be!!! I’m trusting that you-tube can sort it 😳
