    Needles & Hooks

    • Single Point 3.25mm (US 3) 25cm
    • Crochet Hook 2.25mm (US 1)
    • Double Point 3.25mm (US 3) 15cm

    Accessories

    • Tapestry Needle
    • Stuffing
    Other : I used two DPNs for the red hair, loop knitting and shaping with short rows as well as a separate fringe. I used the crochet hook for the brunette and blond hair. I intend to knit more dolls just to try our the different hair applications. Hurrah for You T

    Measurements

    Notes: The dolls are 14cms high not including hair or hat. (5.5ins) . The cupcakes measure 8cms without ‘topping’. I spent less than a day knitting each from various DK acrylic yarns in my stash. The hair took the time as I looked on You Tube for examples of putting yarn hair on knitted dolls; I think I got better with each doll - the brunette was first, the blonde second and the redhead third with a surprisingly satisfactory covering. You are never too old to learn or to be glued to You Tube all afternoon!

      Hazel......your knitting skills are fabulous.I have been knitting for a fifth granddaughter due in November.Knitting has kept me sane during lockdown and beyond. I have made a cupcake doll and was very happy to see your trio.Keep safe and keep knitting.P.R.B.
