    About

I have taken most of the day trying to knit these mittens for a three year old that match her cute hat. I used the free Lion Brand pattern for the basic mitts but spent ages and did lots of frogging trying to get the frill right. It got complicated with DPNS.

    Yarns

    Needles & Hooks

    • Double Point 3.50mm (US 4) 15cm
    • Single Point 3.50mm (US 4) 25cm
    • Single Point 4.00mm (US 6) 25cm

    Accessories

    • Tapestry Needle
    • Stitch Holder
    • Stitch Markers
Other : I used a Kirkby grip as a stitch holder ( thanks Julie Williams) for the thumb stitches; it's so convenient for a few stitches and not bulky so doesn't get in the way. I used my 3/4 inch Pompom maker for the wee pom-poms.

    Measurements

    Size: 2 Year

Notes: Penny is quite petite so the smaller size will be perfect.
