Dan's Dragon.

I made this for my son-in-law, Dan.

    About

Dan collects dragons in all shapes and sizes and all materials and my daughter suggested knitting one. It took a while for me to find the right pattern; not too 'toy-like' but not too complicated.

    Yarns

    • material-yarn
King Cole Embrace - Ruby 1 ball
    • material-yarn
Scheepjes Velvet - Chaplin 1 ball
    • material-yarn
Scheepjes Velvet - Bogart 1 ball
    • material-yarn
Scheepjes Colour Crafter Dk - Weert 1 ball
    • material-yarn
Scheepjes Colour Crafter Dk - Enschede 1 ball

    Needles & Hooks

    • Single Point 3.00mm (US 2.5) 25cm

    Accessories

    • Buttons
    • Tapestry Needle
    • Stuffing
Other : I used wool felt for the eyes and the nostrils with normal needle and thread to stitch on. I don't normally use buttons for eyes but I don't think Dan will chew the dragon or allow Quinn to chew it.

    Measurements

Notes: I used a fluffy yarn from my stash, King Cole Embrace, to knit the wings but it is maybe not a rigid as normal double knit.

Thank you Michelle! Yes, Dan loved the dragon - he (the dragon, not Dan) sits on Dans bookshelf but sometimes the girls pinch him from their dad so they can play with him!

Sorry, but my photography skills are terrible and do not do justice to Dan's Dragon.
