    About

The last doll's hat I made was too big for their smaller doll 'Baby' [which they love], so I have knitted this one, and besides it is very cute with the ear flaps! My knitting gauge is always less/smaller and still was even though I used 4.5mm. I may increase the needle size now to make hats for their birthday dolls 'Baby Alive' brand, which have quite big heads. I knitted it on a circular needle using the 'Magic Loop' method instead of double pointed needles. I think you could also knit it on two needles with a short seam at the back. I love that the ties are made by picking up three stitches on the earflaps and knitting an icord, this is such a cool way to make a tie, and easy to learn [from you tube], I wish I had known about this years ago!
