    About

Elizah's only 6 months old but is growing so fast that I am knitting the 18 month size in the hope that she wont have outgrown it before it is finished - and after a sizeable delay I am going to go for the 4 year old size!

Did you happen to start the pattern? If so, I'd love to know how you interpreted the Jacquard pattern? I cannot figure it out for the life of me!

Hi there, I'm afraid to say that other things got in the way and I haven't started this yet. reading the pattern and looking at the chart it LOOKED like it wouldn.t be too awkward, just have to remember to twist the yarns around each other when changing from one colour to the next, As far as I understand the ruffle gets attached along the line where the colours change, so any slighy imperfections would be hidden>

Just read the pattern again, is it the instructions for the decreases that's tripping you up? It's maybe not phrased very well, but is not as weired as it first sounds.

@Beth D: Thank you for responding. The pattern says to cast on 74 stitches in pink and 20 stitches in yellow (size b), and then to follow the pattern. The pattern only has 12 stitches in pink and 6 stitches in yellow. I don't know whether the pattern is just showing the center 18 stitches. That would make the most sense, but again, I don't know. I'd love your thoughts!

@Lori M.: Yes, I would interpret the grid as just showing the centre part of your garment to show where the stitches were changing from one colour to the other. Just indicative of the change, but not the complete garment.
