    About

Having got back into knitting after knitting mini hats AgeUK's Big Knit, I thought I'd chance my arm with a proper Big Knit! I had some wool already that I picked up in a charity shop as you never know when you might need it! It was a Woolcraft Aran which then lead me to start searching for a pattern I might be able to tackle! The garter stitch card was perfect and I did find it relatively simple. I'd never had to use stitch holders before so that was a bit nerve wracking, I was certain I was going to drop them all! The buttonhole was a first for me too and did end up slightly in the wrong place but I think there's probably only me that would notice. The yellow flecks in the wool match nicely with a scarf I knitted as a side project to use up some Lion Brand Hometown USA Super Chunky in Wichita Tweed!

Thanks Merion! It was a bit of a challenge...especially when I got to the bit where I had nearly 200 stitches on the needles....I was a little overwhelmed!!!

Fantastic Clare! And welcome back to knitting! I think this is a totally brilliant pattern and it looks great in the tweed aran!
