    About

    My grand daughter is my inspiration to knit this little sun dress and bonnet. She is exceptionally long so I added an additional pattern to the body of the dress.

      Beautiful job!! I'm making exact one in orangey- coral but can never get the repeat diamond pattern to to work out and have extra stitches on needles on some rows. Tearing my hair and yarn out b/ o mistakes . Any tips on keeping pattern straight?

        So happy you like the dress Marilyn. I did use stitch markers to signify my repeating pattern. With that I found no problems with the pattern. Hope that helps...

        @Marilyn B: Hi Marilyn,
        I prefer using the "O" ring type markers. I put one just ahead of the pattern set. This way, if I choose to do so, I can count the sets at the end of each row to be sure the count is correct. If It's not correct there is a problem within the particular "set" that needs correcting.
        Your particular set is established within the pattern itself. It normally includes the work between asterisks which are repeated according to the pattern directions per project.
        I hope this helps...
