    About

Having originally added a bow, I decided a knitted scarf would look better and can be removed easily for play.
Made to go with fox cub jumper set, I wanted to try designing it myself as a first crochet project. The tail is made by the pom pom method with a plaited core and then machine stitched to secure the strands.

What a good idea making a Fox to match your set. And to design it, too! Brilliant! I still can’t envisage how you got such a splendid tail.

Thanks Hazel, it's not too difficult to make a tail, cut cardboard to shape with a slot in centre, and plaid strands of yarn, place between cardboard, then wind yarn round shape in fig8 through plait and slot, when complete stitch along slot, I used a machine to make sure it was secure, then cut strands between cardboard, remove and shape, sounds a bit fiddly but it makes a good tail with secure strands.
