    About

I wanted to crochet a dragon for my four year old great grandson Leon. I searched through loads of patterns and managed to find the perfect one! I used a thicker worsted weight yarn rather than the DK suggested so have made him slightly bigger. I also added a mouth to give him a more realistic look and jointed his legs so he can sit or stand. I think he looks more like a Friendly Dragon...The detailed body shaping proved a bit of a challenge, but was well worth the effort!

    Needles & Hooks

    • Crochet Hook 4.50mm (US 7)

    Accessories

    • Stitch Markers
    • Stuffing
    • Tapestry Needle
Other : I used two black wooden beads for eyes sewn-on very strongly with black DK yarn

    Measurements

Notes: Using worsted weight yarn my dragon measures 18" nose to tip of tail with a wingspan of 10"
In DK yarn I think it is 11" nose to tip of tail with a wingspan of 8"
