When I fell ill two years ago with an undiagnosed chronic illness, I was only a fledgling knitter. Unable to do many of the things I used to, my self-esteem took a big hit. It was at that lowest point that knitting became my therapy and rehabilitation. I devoured every new technique I could find. And as a result, I expanded my stunted confidence along with my skill set. Now, I still struggle with my health, but I've come as far along as my knitting abilities have. The culmination of all those struggles is this pair of entrelac socks, made for my wonderful cousin who was by my side through all of it.
