Flame cablework blanket

    About

    Although it looked complicated with the cable stitches this blanket worked up really nicely without any frogging at all. The pattern is free and comes with an easy to follow chart as well as written description and a youtube video. Two extra rows of dc (US sc) stitches were added all round the blanket as an edging to finish it off properly as I chose not to add the fringe. It took a lot of wool but I ended up with a lovely, warm and visually interesting blanket to give my Mum-in-law for her birthday.
