I like all of your projects, and particularly this one, and I see you’ve also made it in the short sleeve version.

Thank you Paula, yes I made both versions in cotton, I think it would be nice in a fine wool too.

Oh she makes your heart melt! Have fun on your travels. I too knit or crochet in the car, wasted time if you don't! These chaps taking their yarn toting wives everywhere and suffering in yarn shops πŸ˜‚. When my boys were little I heard one of them say ' there's a wool shop don't let Mum see it'

Of course she will know you Jennifer, you can do video calls, Skype etc etc. But I can imagine it must be so hard for you as you are so close to them.
This trip sounds amazing you could give us updates and we can follow you and your pictures, we will all be so envious, My husband would love to do something like that and the places you are going are so beautiful.Australia is a stunning country we are so lucky.
I cannot knit or read in the car, which drives me nuts, you are so lucky riding along seeing all the beautiful sights and doing your knitting.😊😊Think of all the beautiful things you will be able to bring home with you for them and the stories you can tell.Look forward to hearing of your travels.

We are heading from Sydney to Port Augusta then up the centre to Darwin and across to Western Australia . I knit while we are travelling in the car and also at night. I often have two projects going at once if something is too difficult to do in the car. My husband is used to my knitting , he has carted my crate of wool on most holidays. When we bought the caravan he said I could put my wool under the bed. We have even stopped when I have broken a needle so I can get a spare one out of the van. I will also be looking for new wool to add to my stash which my eldest grand daughter thinks I will never be able to Knit! I will definitely miss them all especially Aahana who is at that gorgeous age. hope she knows me when we get back.

Thank you Jayne, she has already worn it a few times. I am lucky she is certainly a cutie. I am really going to miss seeing my grandchildren as we are about to set out for a 8 month trip with our caravan.

@Jayne V: I have a crate of wool under the bed, two projects on the go and more wool stashed in cupboards.I certainly won't run out of wool.
