Foyle's Cardigan with Charlie Insert

I made this for myself, in an ongoing effort to learn to knit "lace."

    About

This is my second pass at using one of Amy Herzog's custom patterns. On her website, you can enter your measurements, and the software modifies the instructions to produce a better fit. I wanted a big cozy cardigan, and that's what I got! The buttons are reproductions of US buffalo nickles. Instead of the design that came with the pattern, I substituted another Amy Herzog 'lace' stitch (from her "Charlie" cardigan) on the front panels.

Beautiful cardigan and the buttons are great. It fits you perfectly and looks comfortable and wearable. Doesn't look too roomy to me. Thanks for telling us what yarn you used. I just ordered some last week, coincidentally, in the same color, plus 4 other colors (It was on sale.) but it hasn't arrived yet.

Thank you for the encouragement, Christine! Rico Essentials is a lovely yarn -- soft with nice stitch definition. I also ordered some more, in teal this time. I'm looking forward to using it again!
