    About

Giraffes are my Goddaughter's favourite animal, so I'm making her a giraffe hat!

Winging the pattern. Found a chart for the giraffe spots and am repeating it twice around the hat. Can't decide whether to work decreases into the colourwork, or to carry the pattern all the way to top and Kitchener for a flat/square top.

Yarn is soft straight off the ball (not merino soft, but then again it isn’t merino…), but softens more after washing and relaxed to a nice drape. Really liking this yarn after swatching!

FINALLY finished and gifted! Decided to go for ease and just knit straight until it all measured 7.5ins from the cast on, and kitchenered with MC. Sadly I don't have a photo of it being worn, but it fits really well and looks so cute with the little corner "ears"! Want one for me now...
