    About

I have always wanted to make this jumper, it was a real challenge, working from the flower out. Unforunately it was too small for Kiani but her younger sister has claimed it . She will grow into it. I should
have done the next size up, it is only a small pattern but I only had enough wool for the size 8.

    Yarns

    Needles & Hooks

    • Double Point 4.00mm (US 6)
    • Circular 4.00mm (US 6) 80cm
    • Double Point 3.75mm (US 5)

    Accessories

    • Tapestry Needle

    Measurements

    8 years

Notes: Made it longer than pattern but if I had had more yarn I think I would have done the next size up.

I have never seen a jumper knitted this way before. I have added the pattern to My Collections after seeing your gorgeous knit!

Actuallly Jayne at one stage I wondered how it was going to turn out, you do the two flowers first and then join them together, and then knit the body from top down, I don't use circular needles very often and my husband called them needles on strings, anyway I just hope it fits Kiani it is still in the post on the way to her.

@Jennifer M: I think it’s amazing - I love to see a “real” version of a pattern I like (not just the picture on a pattern leaflet) and yours turned out so well !!!

Hi Jennifer what a beautiful Intricate pattern and I love the colour too I’m not surprised this wasn’t done in the car there’s not enough wing space for 4 needles 😉

Thank you Jayne. There is also alot of row counting in it.

Jennifer, this is pretty awesome. I bought this pattern last year, in the cardigan form, but keep looking at it & thinking it might just be too complicated for this impatient Nanna!

Thanks Lyn I found this very hard because it was on 4 needles or circular needles, it was alot of work . At least you didn't have to sew it up. I found the pattern was quite small which is unusual. I am hoping it fits Kiani because she is an average sized 8 year old. I couldn't knit this one in the car so I have been knitting my grandson a jumper which I have nearly finished while i am in the car.

@Jennifer M: I am totally hopeless knitting on 4 needles, but knit everything else on knitpro circular needles which I find so easy, especially if on a train or bus! No worrying about dropping needles or poking anyone 🥴.

Lyn it was a mixture of needles I did the flower on 4 needles and the sleeves , once the body was set up from the flowers I did it on a circular needle. You could do the magic loop method for the sleeves but I have never done that so I used four needles. I is an interesting pattern.
