    About

I have a large stash of 6ply Morris yarn that I purchased in their sale. I figured I better start knitting up some suitable projects to use it up. I used smaller needles than pattern recommended in order to get the nice tight stitch as shown in OGE’s pattern

    Yarns

    • material-yarn
      Morris Paddington 6 ply, 80% Bamboo, 20% Merino - Champagne 5.0 balls

    Needles & Hooks

    • Circular 3.00mm (US 2.5) 120cm

    Accessories

    • Buttons
Other : I needed 5 buttons for this project, but the buttons I chose only came in packs of 4 buttons, so 2 packs were required. Actual cost of buttons was more than the yarn.

    Measurements

    2 years

Notes: I used smaller needles due to the slight difference in ply of Paddington and the yarn recommended. Also needed more yarn than stated as there is only 125metres in each ball that I used.

Your wee cardigan is lovely, the neckline just finishes it off. That wool is a great colour and will go with so much.

Thanks Michelle, it is a great pattern to knit up, as always very clear instructions and I was pleased with the way the yarn knitted up. It’s a very easy stitch to follow.

It looks great Lyn. You are lucky to have so many little ones to knit for. I was told today not to bother knitting jumpers for four of my older grandchildren because they are into the surf brands.
It is a perfect little boys cardigan.
      I love the buttons.

Thank you Jennifer for your kind comments. Most of the babies and children I knit for are all overseas. I never knit for the 2 grandsons in Broken Hill as much of the year it is way too warm for handknits.
