    About

I started knitting these trees when there was only one pattern, now there are at least five!! At last I've finished knitting and stitching and this year I can enjoy them on my fireplace

    Needles & Hooks

    • Single Point 4.00mm (US 6)

    Accessories

    • Tapestry Needle
    • Stuffing
Other : I used some Anchor Metallic thread in gold to hang the trees, threading it through so they could be adjusted. I also made two bows from some narrow gold ribbon to hide the blu tack I used to fix them to the fireplace.

    Measurements

    10cm (4 inches)

Notes: I knitted them as the pattern except for the one with the swiss darning on. I used stranded colourwork to add the details of the lower part of the tree using the chart supplied

These are lovely. What is the blue wool for?

Thanks for that. The wool next to the blue ball is russet, the brown wool I used for the trunks. Loveknotting don't carry that shade so you just get a ball of Hayfields in the colour for the general wool. Hope this helps.
