This is my first serious hat project. I decided to alter this pattern slightly because I didn’t like the stockinette rim. It was a personal preference, as I don’t like the inevitable roll stockinette creates. I preferred to do a two inch 1x1 rib instead. With the different ribbing and the fact that I used straight needles (Long Live Straight Needles) I had to do one less set of the milanese lace pattern, as well as pearling the wrong side of every row. it wasn’t a difficult pattern to follow at all, and I made two very successful hats. One green and one blue.
