    About

I've just finished 2 of these shawls/blankets as my daughter is expecting twins in March. Took about 8 weeks to finish first but about 6 weeks to finish 2nd one. This has definitely been a labour of love.

Heather you said you've made two of these gorgeous blankets. How much yarn did you use? I'm sure the amount the pattern says is wrong and I'm going to use far more. I'm really enjoying making it and it going to be lovely when finished. Any advice would be gratefully received. Thanks June

Hi June just seen your question so I'm probably too late in replying. I used the amount of yarn stated in the pattern but I didn't make it as long as thought it was too big and it was. Sorry again for not replying sooner

I'm knitting this pattern and really love it but I feel there won't be enough yarn. I'm already on the third ball of eight for the centre panel and I've only done about nine inches. Has anyone else run out of yarn and do I need to order more? Thanks for any feed back.

The pattern is not that hard. I started it about 4 times, ripped it out, started again and found a mistake in the third row of the pattern. Really messed me up until then. Very pretty though.

@S H K: I did find my problem and there was no mistake in the pattern. Really study that pattern and make sure you do exactly what it says for ending row 1. I found I wasn't doing what it said (I read it wrong) and that messed up the rest of the rows. Sorry haven't been on this site for awhile. Hope that helps. Thought I deleted my comment before anyone saw it.
