    About

The pattern calls for a patterned or self stripping yarns and I was really pleased with the results. Made for my daughter who is emigrating to Australia with her Australian boyfriend but due to visa requirements taking the chance to go travelling in Japan and New Zealand. Used baby wool as it will be close up and personal and will take lots of washing. The scarf knitted on a holiday to Mykonos so has a travel theme. I'm part way through a companion scarf for her boyfriend.

I knit beacause it fans my creative flames but crashing mobility issues in the last couple of years means I can scheme plan and achieve on a daily basis without leaving my chair if it's that sort of day. It also means I feel part of a tribe all of whom squirrel wool in places all round the house. However my legacy lives with my whole family who have no head unwarmed nor feet chilled, hense the scarves and I still feel part of something that I have to sit out from most of the time.
