    About

I'm really enjoying knitting some lace patterns recently - New Era Hap and Hap-penstance. So thought I'd continue with this pattern, a little less lace and quite a lot of simple ribbed pattern, just right for our journey back to Shropshire from Correze later this week.

Update: Finished a few days after we arrived back, an easy knit for the journey; even the lace border is simple. I'm not sure about the yarn, it feels a bit scratchy but let's see what happens when it's washed and blocked.

    Pattern

    Yarns

    Needles & Hooks

    • Circular 4.00mm (US 6) 80cm

    Accessories

    • Tapestry Needle
Other : I used 4mm straight needles to cast on all 257 stitches. A bit of a squash on the needles but I think I get a neater cast on edge than casting on to circular needle.

    Measurements

    150x30cm (60x12in)

Notes: I've added 4 stitches to the pattern to enable an i-cord (3 stitches at each selvedge) to be knitted. This gives a more defined edge to the scarf and works well in the Lana Grossa yarn.

Hi Alison. It's really a deep raspberry colour but this didn't come out in the photo. I'm enjoying the calm repetitive rib pattern.
