    About

The Notts Yarnarchists are creating items in recognition of the Suffragette Centenary, for a Picnic in the Park later this year, and also to accompany The Women's Quilt at it's various exhibition locations.
The hyperbolic knitted (and crocheted) items are inspired by the Crochet Coral Reef (Institute of Figuring).
I will be using my hyperbolic flowers along with other knitted and crocheted items in Suffragette colours to decorate the park.
I began with 10sts, joined in the round. Then make increases on every 3rd stitch (purple edged version). The green edged version had increases on every 3rd stitch on alternate rounds, and every 2nd stitch on every inbetween round.
The ones which are not knitted are made on circular and square knitting looms.

The flowers look lovely and they are such a good decorative feature for the Suffragette Centenary - great idea.

Thank you Hazel. We're knitting & crocheting several items for the 2 projects. I'm currently also knitting a Suffragette bollard cover!!! :D
