    About

Amelia loved this pattern, but she is allergic to wool, so we decided to have a go at knitting in an Aran weight cotton.
Long time since I attempted fair isle so we shall see, how it goes. First time I've knitted in the round neck down, and creating stitches across the rows of the yoke. I think these may be more noticeable in the cotton than in wool. Loving the yarn, the silver grey is very light reflecting.
7/6 this is taking a while to knit, I have two allotments and this time of the year knitting comes second to veg tending. Still it's coming along nicely.
I'm an English knitter but have been practising contention knitting so I can knit the two colours , one in each hand so I don't have to keep picking up the thread.Takes a bit of getting used to, but my tension is better, the floats more even, so I shall continue persevering.
coming up very large probably due to my using cotton. Half a sleeve to go.
Finished needs washing and blocking, might reduce the size a bit. v.warm.

Thank you. I've decided to knit again in dk with merino to see if it helps with the fit. The natura just cotton was lovely to knit with.
