    About

This was my first WIP started in 2019, and also my first finished project of 2019. I was given a copy of "Beaded Lace Knitting" for Christmas, wanted to start with a small project to practice adding beads so the Julia Handwarmers fitted the bill perfectly. I enjoyed knitting them and by pure luck the colours in the shade of Lang Yarns Mille Colori Baby I ordered go perfectly with the Serendipity cowl I made in the autumn; I'd ordered extra balls of Mille colori to crochet a co-ordinating hat, so the whole ensemble will soon be complete.

    Pattern

Julia Handwarmers - from Anniken Allis's book Beaded Lace Knitting

This pattern can be found here:
    www.yarnaddict.co.uk

    Yarns

    • material-yarn
      https://www.loveknitting.com/lang-yarns-mille-colori-baby - 16 1 ball

    Needles & Hooks

    • Crochet Hook 0.75mm
    • Double Point 2.75mm (US 2) 15cm

    Accessories

    • Stitch Markers
    • Tapestry Needle
Other : size 6 seed beads - the pattern states 288 beads for this size, but following the pattern exactly as written only uses 96

    Measurements

Notes: I made the Medium (8" hand circumference) size. They looked very narrow on the needles, but stretch to fit perfectly and show off the lace pattern

Thanks Lyn; adding the beads wasn't as difficult as I thought it might be
