That's amazing, it's a fantastic bear and a great recycling idea. I wish I could do that with my cat, at this time of year I could stuff cushions with the amount of hair I brush off the furniture and unfortunately she's not overly enthusiast about being brushed 🙀

Hi Christine I know what you mean about cat hair, it's so fine, ask your local craft shop if they know anyone who spins, it could be really interesting.

@Lynne T: Not sure why I said fantastic bear when it's as plain as can be it's a fantastic kitty, maybe it's because I'm making a bear at the moment but then it's more likely to be a case of "a senior moment" 🙄

Wow! I used to have a Husky, and I always thought her fur would make an amazingly warm jumper! Never tried it though.

Hi Tamara, it seems any sort of soft undercoat can be used, my friend has Persian cats and uses their coats too, German shepherds, golden retrievers and of course the sled dogs make for very interesting yarns.

I was a bit worried as this is the first time I've used Schnauzer, it's so soft, and came out as mottled grey when spun , I didn't have enough to make a scarf, but I'm collecting again, maybe by next year!

Lovely little cat, love the idea of using the combings from your dogs, to spin into wool to knit this adorable little cat 🐱
