    About

I found this pattern in a German knitting magazine and fell in love with it instantly. It has such a distinct "Chanel" vibe that I was dying to have it in my wardrobe.
EDIT: Unfortunately the pattern was in an old issue of the German Magazine "Brigitte Kreativ", which no longer exists. I'm so sorry to everyone who has been asking about where to get the pattern - I've tried to find somewhere where the magazine might still be available but it looks like the publisher doesn't sell the back issues either. The yarn however is available from LoveKnitting and it's linked in the yarn information below.
With an even number of stitches the stitch would work like this:
Row 1 in A: Slip one st with yarn in front, k1. Repeat til row end
Row 2 in B: Slip one st with yarn in back, p1. Repeat til row end
Row 3 in C: worked as row 1
Row 4 in A: worked as row 2
Row 5 in B: worked as row 1
Row 5 in C: worked as row 2
Continue in this pattern, switching yarns in the above order.

      Hi Amelie
I’ve managed to find a pattern which I think will give a similar shape to yours which is lovely and I’ve ordered the same yarn. I would need a small (I’m guessing about a UK size 10 so would 70 stitches for the back achieve this? And what size needles did you use?
Many thanks for any help you can give.

The amazing thing about the community is the support and encouragement we give each other to try something new and take on a challenging project. So it's a shame to see negativity in the other comments :(

        Hi Catherine,
I'm so sorry you feel misled by my project. This was in no way my intention, and I'm truly sorry. I shared this project a while ago because I was proud of the outcome and wanted to share with our lovely community the possibilities that knitting gives to our creativity. I was unaware of the publicity it would get and the ramifications this would have. I hope the colour choices and the yarn (which are linked on the right hand side) might still provide some inspiration for you.
All the best and happy knitting!

Each of these yarns have different yardages. You've stated 3 balls of each. For what size is this? Not sure where to begin? Now feeling frustrated and wondering why you featured this sweater with no intention of offering a pattern and vague yardage for an unmentioned pattern and obviously no sizing...???

        Hi Susan,
Thanks so much for your kind comment below. I'm so sorry you feel frustrated about the lack of pattern. The cardigan itself was knitted in five separate pieces, with the back and both front pieces actually having no shaping except for simple shoulder and neck decreases at the top (made to fit your individual figure). For a size small I cast on 70 stitches for the back piece in Royal Tweed and then alternated the three yarns in every row.
With regards to the yarn, the difference in yardage actually makes no difference in the finished fabric. The stitch used is an alternating slip stitch (I will try to add the stitch details in the description box on the right) with the yarn alternating in every row therefore creating a ver

@Susan, sorry just realised it cut the bottom of my comment off:

It creates a dense fabric with little definition of the yarn itself.
The tassels are made holding one 12cm piece of each yarn including a black yarn that i had in my stash, together, folding in half, pulling the loop through the edge of the cardigan with a crochet hook and then pulling the ends through the loop.
I really hope this helps somewhat and has given you some inspiration for your next project!
All the best and happy knitting,

oh, just read previous comments...disappointing, possible for some "love knitting" staff to come up with a cardie with shaping and a suggestion on how to add fringe? Has there been some black yarn added to the fringe to make it pop? Or is that in the twee yarn?

I love this!! So much chanel in fashion today and this is UNIQUE, I'd buy the wool in a heart beat if I could confirm the pattern wasn't too crazy difficult to make this AND there was a pattern to follow, hoping it was just mistakenly not included with the yarn offer. Please advise!
