    About

I found this book of patterns after viewing a YouTube interview with the pattern designer, Woolly Wormhead. I was intrigued by the structure of the hats and the techniques required to achieve the designs. So here's my first attempt making use of W&T short rows, provisional cast on and slip stitch grafting techniques...wish me luck and perseverance!

Update: Well, I got through the techniques with 98% success, though I really didn't like undoing the provisional cast on with the added complication of slipped stitches on first row. There must be a better way of holding the provisional cast on stitches on a stitch holder rather than waste yarn? Any ideas would ne most welcome.

Notes: Hat has knitted up to measurements, however I have a size 21" head which the hat should fir perfectly, but it too big for my taste, so looks like another autumn/winter hat for the Handyman.
