    About

I wanted a fairly plain cardigan pattern to show off the gorgeous colour changes of the Malabrigo yarn - to me it kind-of looks like a watercolour painting :)
The pattern is knitted from bottom up in flat sections and joined at top of raglans.
Used alternating yarn balls for Back & both Fronts to get more random colour changes.

    Mods:
After joining all seams and transferring all live sts to one cable, I did an extra 3 rows (still following decreases for raglans) so that it sits slightly higher at shoulders.
Make neckline rib same depth as bottom rib, again so that it sits slightly higher at shoulder.
Maintained k2,p2 rib for both Front edges to give a firmer button edge, instead of k1,p1 rib.
Made sleeves approx 5” longer than pattern suggests, BEFORE starting raglan shaping.

I purposely didn't put a button on the neckline rib (as I can't bear to wear closed high necklines), but I may have to add one just to make it look more 'finished' :/

    Yarns

    Needles & Hooks

    • Circular 4.50mm (US 7) 100cm
    • Circular 4.50mm (US 7) 60cm

    Accessories

    • Tapestry Needle
    • Buttons
    • Stitch Holder
    • Stitch Markers
Other : The pattern requires each section to be knitted flat, with each section having live stitches held on holder/cord/yarn until joined at top of raglan.
I found some perfectly gorgeous rainbow glass-like buttons at my local Boyes store.

    Measurements

    71-86cm

Thank you :) It was the colours in this yarn that inspired me to choose the simple pattern.
